Functional Drinks

A new kind of alcohol-free

Functional drinks are probably the most intriguing corner of the alcohol-free world. Made with botanicals, roots, herbs, and barks rather than grapes or malt, they are built around ingredients that drink makers have been exploring for centuries: ashwagandha, lion's mane, schisandra, rhodiola, and more. The result is a unique category: complex, aromatic, and genuinely different from anything else on the shelf.

This is drinking as ritual. A considered pour at the end of the day, something interesting in the glass when the evening winds down, or a sophisticated alternative when you are simply not reaching for alcohol. Each brand has its own character and its own moment in mind, from bright and sharp to deep, bitter, and warming.

We stock functional drinks from some of the most inventive makers in the category. Expect bold, botanical flavours: bitter and herbal, spiced and rich, citrus-fresh or darkly complex, meant to be sipped slowly and savoured. Some are built for the start of an evening, others for its close.

Serve them well chilled, over ice, or lengthened with a quality tonic or soda, and treat them the way you would any good drink: with curiosity and a little ceremony.
