Sentia Spirits
A new category of alcohol-free spirit
Sentia is the work of GABA Labs, the drinks-science company founded by Professor David Nutt, one of the world's most respected neuroscientists and a pioneering voice in the study of alcohol. Sentia is its own category of drink: a botanical spirit built from the ground up, backed by decades of research and made with the seriousness, and roughly the cost, of a premium distillery.
Each bottle is a dense, carefully researched blend of all-natural, fair-trade botanicals: magnolia bark, ashwagandha, passionflower, rhodiola, ginseng, ginkgo, schisandra, and many more. These are bold, often bitter plants that are difficult to work with, which is precisely the point. The result is complex, bittersweet, and genuinely distinctive. It has the awards to show for it, with golds at the Global Spirits Masters and Free From Food Awards among them, and has been featured in The Guardian, The Times, and Men's Health.
The range runs across three expressions. Red is floral and herbal, with bittersweet berries. Black brings spiced pepper warmth, an earthy body, and a smoky, bitter finish. Gold is bright and citrus-forward, zesty with a warm, spicy edge. All three are 0.0%, low in sugar, vegan, and made to be mixed: pour 25 to 50ml over ice and lengthen with tonic, soda, or ginger beer, or build it into a considered alcohol-free cocktail. A drink for the curious adult who wants real depth in the glass.
